Our Values

Foundations Classical Academy (FCA) believes in restoring rigor and quality to foundational education. This means that we promote facts-based learning that has as its cornerstone memorization, the study of classic (and sometimes difficult) texts, and the use of Socratic dialogue. We do not indoctrinate students, teach to a test (or over-emphasize grades) or use constructivist teaching methods. We believe that in a K-12 classroom artificial intelligence has no place (and we prohibit its use among students for all of our courses). We believe in learning for learning's sake, learning for mastery, and in forming lifelong seekers of knowledge.
